Letter to the Editor: New Jersey Jewish Community Must Vote GOP

Oct 29, 2025 by

The Jewish community must vote GOP in New Jersey. It’s not just that Republican Gubernatorial candidate Jack Ciattarelli is for school choice, nor that he has concrete plans to reopen the power plants closed during the last 8 years, which will immediately bring down utility costs. It’s not just that Jack has plans to freeze property taxes for the elderly so they can afford to retire in the state, nor is it just his plans to offer municipalities, counties, and school boards reimbursement to cover the first year costs of consolidation to lower property taxes for all.

All of these are great reasons for the Jewish community (and all to vote GOP), but fundamentally, the existential test of this and all elections in the near future remains the same. Which party reflects American values and is committed to protecting them for all Americans? The Democratic Party has failed this test.

From fomenting hatred of Jews by refusing to stand up to those who engage in harassment outside of Shuls to advocating for policies that discriminate against Jews on college campuses, the Democrats have stabbed the Jewish community in the back. From refusing to put into metaphorical exile Democrat “leaders” like the vile Congress people known as “squad” to endorsing Democrat NYC mayoral nominee Zohran Mamdani, who engages in blood libels against Jews and Christians on a regular basis, the Democrat Party has abandoned not only the Jewish community but basic American values.

School vouchers, tangible tax-reducing plans, and tough-on-crime policies are all amazing reasons to vote GOP this election. But even more importantly, Jack Ciattarelli and the GOP understand American values and know that “Jewish issues” are American issues. Jack understands that when the Jewish community is targeted for hate, incitement, and violence, American values are under attack.
