Remember this year,

all those who were lost

Remember the gains

that came with a cost

 

Remember the victories

and mournful defeats

Remember these days

as this year completes.

 

Remember the soldiers

May G-d bring them home

Remember the children

wherever they roam.

 

Remember the heartache

and tears full of gladness

Remember the joy

and hours of sadness.

 

Remember the courage

and desire for peace

Remember the hope

that troubles shall cease.

 

Remember the faith

that never fades out

Remember G-d’s light

which shines all about.

 

Remember this year,

this time full of fighting

Remember these days

in voice and in writing

 

Remember this Chanukah

May it find you well

Remember your sacrifice,

oh, dear Israel…
