AFSI Protests Blinken’s Slur That Israelis Don’t Care About Gazan’s

Jan 16, 2025 by

NEW YORK – Americans For A Safe Israel (AFSI) has strongly protested the false claim by Secretary of State Antony Blinken that Israelis don’t care about the suffering of the residents of Gaza.

Speaking to the Atlantic Council on January 14, 2025, Secretary Blinken said: “In Israel, there is almost no reporting on the conditions in Gaza and what people there endure every day.” He also accused Israelis of “dehumanization” of Gazans.

AFSI national chairman Moshe Phillips said: “Israeli soldiers literally risk their lives to avoid harming Gazan civilians. Israel allows hundreds of truckloads of aid to enter Gaza each day, even though Hamas steals much of it. Israeli news media outlets, from left to right, are filled with articles about what Gazans have endured as a result of Hamas atrocities and Hamas tyranny. For Secretary Blinken to suggest otherwise is an outrageous slur.”

Phillips added: “Secretary Blinken will leave office in just a few days. He will leave behind a legacy of constantly haranguing and pressuring America’s only true ally in the Middle East, and trying to rescue the Hamas terrorist regime from being eliminated.”
